Traditional Ruler of Umuoma Community Celebrates Historic Burial Event
The traditional ruler of Umuoma community in Ihitte/Uboma LGA, Imo State, Eze Onyemukwuru (OMA I of Umuoma), witnessed a truly historic event marked by grandeur and national recognition. The burial ceremony, held in dramatic and grand style, drew dignitaries from across the country, all of whom attended with great satisfaction.
Eze Onyemukwuru expressed heartfelt gratitude and a strong sense of unity on behalf of the entire community. He extended special thanks to their illustrious son, Ignatius Nwogu, for his remarkable generosity and leadership. For the first time, this event placed Umuoma on the map, bringing global recognition to the community.
The Eze expressed his profound joy and appreciation, speaking not only for himself but on behalf of all Umuoma people.
The Umuoma community in Ihitte/Uboma LGA, Imo State, Nigeria, came together on April 24th, 2025, to witness a truly remarkable and historic occasion — the final rites for the late Ezinne Cecelia Nwogu (Chilaka), affectionately remembered as the “Iron Lady.” Her burial was nothing short of extraordinary, earning widespread acclaim as one of the most memorable and talked-about ceremonies the region has ever experienced
