More Drama: Ibas Sole Administrator Has Asked Executive Governor Fubara To come Give Account of Stewardship

RIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT — SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, CFR, has directed the suspended Governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, and his Deputy, Dr. Ngozi Ordu, to appear before him on Good Friday, 18th April 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Conference Room, Government House, Port Harcourt.

This directive, issued in a special announcement by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibibia Lucky Worika, forms part of an official inquiry into appointments made during the Fubara administration over the past two years.

Sir Fubara is required to present all relevant documents and records relating to these appointments, including the procedures and justifications involved. The session will also offer him the opportunity to present his case for reinstatement.

Attendance is mandatory.

This process is part of the Sole Administrator’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and lasting peace in the governance of Rivers State.
