In a related development, Senator Natasha filed a petition with the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee seeking the disbarment of Senator Neda Imasuen, chairman of the Senate Ethics Committee. Meanwhile, a group identified as “Concerned Kogi Youths and Women” responded by submitting petitions seeking to recall Senator Natasha. However, that move suffered a major setback on Thursday when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rejected the petition, citing failure to meet the requirements outlined in Section 69(a) of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution (as amended).
