Abuja – The 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has called on Nigerian Muslims to uphold the love, unity, and generosity exemplified during Ramadan in their daily lives.
In a statement issued on Sunday by Ibrahim Umar on behalf of the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR), Obi extended his heartfelt prayers, asking Almighty Allah to accept the prayers, fasting, and supplications of the Muslim faithful.
“I sincerely join the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria in celebrating Eid-el-Fitr 2025, marking the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. It is our sincere prayer that Almighty Allah accepts our prayers, fasting, and supplications now and always,” he stated.
Reflecting on his interactions during Ramadan, Obi shared that spending time and sharing meals with various Muslim communities across the nation was a deeply fulfilling experience. He emphasized the need to carry forward the spirit of Ramadan beyond the holy month, fostering love, unity, and compassion in society.
“We pray that the blessings and lessons of Ramadan remain with us— that love fills our hearts, peace and unity thrive in our nation, security is restored, and our country experiences growth and development,” he added.
Congratulating Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan, Obi wished them and their families abundant blessings.
“Eid Mubarak!” he concluded.
