Bolatito Shobowale, the chairman of the Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, has passed away after a prolonged illness.
Confirming her passing, the acting chairman of the LCDA, Ladi Oluwaloni, expressed shock and sorrow in a tribute on Friday, March 21. Oluwaloni was sworn in as acting chairman just days ago by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, following Shobowale’s extended absence due to ill health.
In his tribute, Oluwaloni described Shobowale as a visionary leader who dedicated herself to selfless service and good governance in Ayobo-Ipaja. He prayed for the repose of her soul and for comfort for her family, acknowledging her significant role in the transformation of the LCDA.
“As we bid farewell to this remarkable leader, we take solace in knowing that her impact will live on in the hearts and lives of those she served. May the Almighty grant her eternal rest and give us the strength to uphold the values she stood for,” he said.
