A heartwarming reunion took place at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, as the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, welcomed a delegation from the Old Girls Association of Loretto Special Science School, Adazi-Nnukwu, Anaocha Local Government Area.

The delegation, led by Dr. Adaobi Okeke—Anambra Chapter President and National Vice President of the Association—visited to show their support and solidarity with Dr. Awuzie while congratulating her on her appointment as Rector.

Upon arrival, the delegation was received by the Polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Chijioke Ibeziako, who facilitated their meeting with the Rector.

Dr. Okeke, speaking on behalf of the group, praised Dr. Awuzie’s appointment, noting her significant contributions as a founding member of the Old Girls Association and her current role as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. She assured the Rector of the association’s full support during her tenure.

Dr. Awuzie, in response, expressed deep gratitude for the visit, acknowledging the association’s unwavering solidarity and prayers during the rigorous appointment process. She pledged to maintain a strong bond with her alma mater and remain actively involved with the association.

The Acting Registrar, Mr. Dominic Nwagwu, also extended his appreciation to the Old Girls for their visit and encouraged them to continue supporting and praying for Dr. Awuzie’s administration.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a beautifully crafted portrait of Dr. Awuzie by the Old Girls Association, symbolizing their pride and appreciation for her achievements.
